Logitech - V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks Review

I think that almost everyone has a mouse with their notebooks because we all know how annoying it’s to use the touchpad provided with your notebook. The laptop touchpad it’s perfect when we are in a car, or travelling by train or by plane, but most of the time we will use our notebooks on a desk and for comfortably surfing the internet we need a proper mouse.  

 

Logitech has come up with what I think is the best idea; although the V550 is quite old, it still does a very good job and has one thing that the new Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX doesn’t have, and that’s the Clip-and-Go dock. That little thing sticks on your laptop like white on rice :)),

(but if you watch my video you will see how well it does the job), but seriously, your mouse will definitely stay on your laptop anywhere you take it. 

 

The 2 AA Duracell batteries that come with the mouse are pretty impressive; on the box it says that they will last for 18 months and this is true, I’ve used my first v550 for 1 year before I replaced the batteries, and those batteries were the previous model and I reckon that with this new model it will last for 18 months like they say. 

As you can see from the picture and from the video, the V550 has an usb extension cable with a curved plastic bit at one end which can be used if we have a desktop pc, but honestly I don’t seem to find a use for this usb extension, I mean this mouse is made for use with laptops, why in the world would you put that inside the box? Who will ever use and usb extension with their laptop? But anyway, it’s good to have it; maybe you will give it to someone who really needs it. 

 

I won’t talk a lot about the performance of the mouse and about the design, because I’ve already done that in my video, but I wanted to say a few things about the mouse in here as well before you watch the video.
